On the 1st and 2nd July LULAKNITS will have its own stall at Artsmart in the grounds of Chelsea College Of Art and Design. It will be great to be back at Chelsea as one of the reasons I chose to study there was because of the great architecture and location and of course the Tate Britain being right next door. I'll be updating the blog along the way, so you can have a sneek peek at what will be on sale. There will be a full list of all the designers showing at Artsmart on the website below shortly.
Carrying on with the theme of my degree show and my visit to Iceland, I feel that these samples will be the starting point for my collection at Artsmart. I feel that as its going to be a summer collection, lighter yarns and fabrics will be used in conjunction with lambswool. I have been really inspired by the last few Peter Pilotto and Jonathan Saunders collections in London, mainly colourways and shapes, i feel they could be a real source of inspiration for this project.
